Mangaluru/Udupi, May 10: Dakshina Kannada on Tuesday, May 10, reported two coronavirus cases while Udupi registered zero infections.
The total number of positive cases in Dakshina Kannada district has risen to 1,35,529 out of which 13 are currently active.
Two patients were discharged from hospitals on Tuesday. The death toll in the district so far stands at 1,850.
The district administration has urged people to strictly continue maintaining social distance in public places and wear masks when stepping out of the house. Anyone not wearing a mask would be fined by the authority.
So far, the district administration has collected Rs 1,16,05,880 as fine in 96,212 incidents of mask violation.
Udupi
Zero cases was reported on Tuesday. The total active Covid case have risen to one.
No patient was discharged from hospitals on Tuesday.
Udupi taluk reported 0 case, Kundapura 0 and 0 case in Karkala.
A total of 10,84,146 people have received first dose of vaccination and 1045968
have received both doses and 67,960 people have received booster dose.
A total of 53 cases of mucormycosis (black fungus) have been reported in the district so far.
