Premature to Comment on Report on Church Attacks: Guv

Hubli, Feb 23, (PTI) : Karnataka Governor H R Bhardwaj today said it was premature to comment on the Justice Somashekhara report on the church attacks in the state during 2008, till the Government takes a view to reject or accept it. 

Bhardwaj, who called on veteran journalist Patil Puttappa here, told reporters, "I have told you it is premature to talk in detail. Prima facie, I am not satisfied the way the interim report was replaced by the final report by Justice Somashekhara".

Asked whether he would suggest to the government to order fresh probe into the church attacks, he said, "there is a procedure. The report has been received by the state government.

    If old and lazy charectors are heading any pannel we can expect premature report only. This is what it looks to be happend. Drawing conclusion in line with the interim report need to be substantiated with detailed evidence for which use of brain if any required. But it is easy to deny the existance of the evidence itself so that ruling party is happy whereby seek appointment for next pannel so that job less old will get job again for looting public money. Even JPC aim is also same. Committee member wants the share of money by way of sitting fees. Finally result is zero and public will be fooled. Christians should not be surprised by this. Then Home Minister - Achari hammered.. given clean chit on day one and this penal did the typist job. Whatever, this is too dangerous for entire civil society. To bring out the truth courage required. To punish the guilty conviction for a clean society required. Oh present elected representatives are rotts to the core. Charector, sincerity and wisdom is far away fom the rulers.

    Justice Somashekara did not do the job told him to do but reported otherwise ignoring the evidence of offenders. While much before that about 250 christian protesters were booked by Police in Mangalore.

    Protesters were booked by Police.

    Offenders not are not at all identified by Justic Somashekar.

    In both cases, the Police and Justice Somashekar have done a job which they are not supposed to do.

    In whom people should keep faith? What is the defination of Justice and Equity?

    It is not allowed to canvas for the election in the name of "Rama Rajya" but definitely the candidate can do in the name of "BJP Rajya" in Karnataka. Neither BJP took any effort to stop church attacks nor took any pain in rejecting Justice Somashekar's report so far.

    When the evidence of destroyed churches/images were present, how come one can think, it happened automatically, without destroyed by others? Simple fact and truth every body can understand but not understood by Justice Somashekara. He found no offenders. Not even name of a single person nor a single party. And he called it is his final "Report".

    If a wrist watch does not show correct time, who will call it a "Watch". Why one should call the file given by Justice Somashekara to Karnataka Govt. as "Report" ? It is just a bundle of papers.

    Simply wasted time and tax payers money.

    Guv's comments positive or negattive no binding on popularly elected Govt.But it may bring embarrsment morally.What is known fact is Justice Somashekar report towards Church attacks are incomplete,biased and I would say MALAFIED.Christians are feeling insecure and let down by the govt.Therefore Somashekar's report is salt poured to wound of Christian Community.Now onus with Govt of Karanataka to take confidence of the aggrieved community by bringing criminals to the rule of Land.
