Mangaluru, May 17: MLA U T Khader said, “The government have shown their Talibani culture over arms training to students in Madikeri in the presence of MLA and MP.”
Addressing media here on Tuesday May 17, Khader said, “The government have outsourced rowdyism. Instead of giving pen and book to the students, they have given arms to the students. The home minister and education minister need to explain the reason to the public for such training. The government should also reveal the background of the organizers and the reason for organizing such training for students.
“During the tenure of BJP, they have not begun any new high school, primary school or colleges. The government is introducing anti-people policies. They also need to pass orders to fill the vacancy of teachers, and they have not released funds to repair dilapidated schools and colleges which collapsed during the monsoon. Student have not yet received the text books and uniforms. Along with being an anti-people government, it is an anti-student government which has no concern towards students and youths.
“What would have been the reaction of BJP if Congress seva dal organizes such training?” questioned Khader.
When asked about Beltangady MLA Harish Poonja’s statement that he does not need Muslim votes, Khader said, “I do not want comment on such an immature statement. It is cheap politics. People of Beltangady will answer in the elections. A single additional scheme for endosulfan victims has not been introduced after a scheme was introduced during my tenure as the health minister.”
When asked about Malali dargah controversy, Khader said, “It is a land dispute. Both the parties have approached the deputy commissioner. Locals knew that there was a masjid in the area, while outsiders were suspicious over the same. The deputy commissioner will look into the records and take a decision. Those not satisfied with the decision can approach the court.”
