Bantwal, May 19: A woman, who had come to her parents’ house at Arala in Beltangady, with her son and went from there saying that she is going to grandmother’s house went missing. Her father Arala resident Monappa Sapalya had filed a complaint in this regard.
Ashalatha (25) had come to her father’s house with her children Manya and Akesha on May 7. On May 14, when her father Monappa went to Neermarga, Ashalatha left to her grandmother’s house in an auto rickshaw along with her mother Parijatha and two children.

When the auto rickshaw reached Nagri near Sajipamunnoor, Ashalatha alighted from the auto rickshaw with her son Akesh and told her mother that she will go by walk to her grandmother’s house and asked her mother and daughter to go back to Arala.
Parijatha, mother of missing Ashalatha, told her husband Monappa about her daughter Ashalatha and her son going to her grandmother’s house. Monappa said that he will bring her back after a week or so. Accordingly, on May 15, when Parijatha went to her parents’ house and enquired about Ashalatha, they said that she did not come to their house.
Police are investigating further.
