Mangaluru/Udupi, May 19: Dakshina Kannada on Thursday, May 19, reported four coronavirus cases while Udupi registered zero infections.
The total number of positive cases in Dakshina Kannada district has risen to 1,35,563 out of which 17 are currently active.
Seven patients were discharged from hospitals on Thursday. The death toll in the district so far stands at 1,850.
The district administration has urged people to strictly continue maintaining social distance in public places and wear masks when stepping out of the house. Anyone not wearing a mask would be fined by the authority.
So far, the district administration has collected Rs 1,16,05,880 as fine in 96,212 incidents of mask violation.
Udupi
Zero cases was reported on Thursday. The total active Covid case have risen to two.
One patient was discharged from hospitals on Thursday.
Udupi taluk reported no cases, while the same was reported in Kundapura and Karkala.
A total of 10,84,525 people have received first dose of vaccination and 1055336 have received both doses and 69,500 people have received booster dose.
A total of 53 cases of mucormycosis (black fungus) have been reported in the district so far.
