Mangalore, Feb 25: Kabir one of the prime accused in murder cases of Polali Ananthu and Sukhanand Shetty was killed by unknown miscreants with lethal weapons at Charavu, near Gurupur here on Friday February 25 at 12.35 pm.
Kabir’s house is just a furlong away from the spot where he was brutally murdered. The assailants reportedly came in a black coloured Scorpio and hit the bike in which Kabir was riding with his two friends - Nazeer and Sarfaraz.
However that attempt did not yield any outcome. So the miscreants assaulted Kabir with lethal weapons. Later police shifted his body to A J Hospital. His bike was shifted through a Lorry. His mobile phone was found lying on the spot.
Kabir was returning from Mosque after offering Friday prayers. Police said that Kabir was accused in two murder cases. He was in rowdy sheet of the police. Kabir died on the spot while his friends have been admitted to Tejaswini Hospital in Mangalore with injuries.
The assaulters fled from the scene after the attack. Reason for the attack is yet to be ascertained.Speaking to Daijiworld DCP R Ramesh expressed his opinion that the murder may be retaliatory in nature, connected with the murder of a youth in the region in the past.
Locals say that the same black Scorpio was seen regulary in the area from past few days which hints that the murder must have been pre-planned. In the backdrop of the incident the roads wore a deserted look. Local youngsters gathered on the spot soon after the incident. Senior police officials rushed to the spot for investigations. Police are confident of tracing the murderers at the earliest. The police will deploy two interceptors in the area to avoid any tense situation.

Last year a hindu was murdered in mangalore and four years back also a hindu was murdered in Mangalore. Does it mean that hindus are not safe in mangalore? Wipe out one Rowdy, ten more will born to take revenge, one should find best way to minimise goondas/fanatics in the socity, Best thing is to educate children at early age, by teaching them moral/respect/tolerance at schools/Colleges, by parents at home, by religious leaders at worship places, by knowledgeable and educted respectful people by visiting schools/Universites and giving talks on thiese subjects. Teach children to learn the difference between good and bad at early age, teach them to respect humans and Gods creature,teach them not to raise their hands/voice in anger, anger makes one to sin, teach them live in the society with tolerance,teach them to become good humans first. Counsel & teach moral to criminals,goondas and Fanatics to live good life with peace & harmoney in the society. Also society should learn to accept them with love and respect by forgiving and forgetting their past, provide them job to live decent respectful life, teach them to serve the society, by sending them to render free service at hospitals, orphanages, old age homes, prisons, worship places, public parks etc, may be doing this slowly if not all but majority will turn from bad to good.

Dr. Kamat, you must be in a dream world.. Govt of India and every state ( in precise most of the politicians in govt or in opposition) are the number one sponsor of these rowdy elements. These guys pick up the misguided boys from the society brain wash them and take advantage of their adventurous nature into crime machine. How can you expect any kind of initiation from Govt. to reform them? if not how are these guys who are arrested and put in jail for 1st crime come back as a tougher criminals. The main intention for arresting a convict or a suspect is to reform him and send him back as a good human to the society. We must form a civil society who can take care of these misguided kids and reform them.. in that case we can make some changes. reforming atleast 1 boy will make a big difference.
