Belagavi, May 22: “There is no friction among the BJP leaders of the district. There is no point in saying that I have arrived here to patch up the differences,” clarified union minister Prahlad Joshi.

Joshi was speaking at a press conference on Saturday in the city after holding meeting with BJP leaders of Belagavi, Vijayapura and Bagalkot.

He further said, “We only have one agenda of getting party candidates victorious. Strategy is being formed in this connection. Today’s Belagavi meeting is a grand success. We will win both the north west graduates and teachers’ constituencies easily. Suggestions and instructions are given in the meeting with regards to the election propaganda and to work in a manner that will not harm the prospects of the party candidate.”

He said, “All MPs, MLAs and ministers have pooled together and discussed unitedly. From May 23 eminent leaders of the party will visit Belagavi, Vijayapura and Bagalkot districts. By May 28 meeting of all eminent leaders of the party will get over. MLA of respective constituency will be the main responsible person.”

“No injustice is meted out to Belagavi while distributing party tickets. It has got a Rajya Sabha position. Bommai is giving excellent administration. We will face the forthcoming assembly elections under his leadership. He will decide on the expansion of the cabinet,” he said.
