Beltangady, May 29: Foresten Cat Snake or Saribala, a non-venomous snake that is found only in Western Ghats and deep jungles has been found in the verandah of Damodar, resident of Dharmasthala. Snake Ashok Laila caught the snake and safely let it back in the forest.
Saribala species of snakes are on the verge of extinction. Their offsprings are also very less. Snake Ashok had caught Saribala snake for the first time at Kindaje of Laila village six years ago. This is the second instance of the same snake siting. The snake was seven feet long.
