Bengaluru, May 30: Yoga lessons will be included in the school and college curriculum from the next academic year, chief minister Basavaraj Bommai has said.
Bommai was speaking after inaugurating the new app on health technology prepared by S Vyasa University at Jigani which is an international yoga center.
Bommai further said, “This year preparations are being made to include yoga lessons for next year. From next year yoga instructors will be recruited in schools and colleges and a revolution will be brought about in the education system whereby the students will be taught how to manage their health from a young age."
“Recently the governor had flagged off the Swastha Shakti programme of 90 days by S Vyasa University under the idea of a disease-free India. Ayu app is made ready after studying more than 750 books by the doctors of this university,” Bommai added.
