Mangaluru, May 30: Imran Hamza, a resident of Ullal in the city, who was under the custody of the passport centre of Saudi Arabia for more than a year has returned safely to mother land.
The passport officials of Saudi Arabia had taken Imran into custody under the old ‘Parari’ civil case. A year ago, Imran was travelling from Dammam via Bahrain to India for his annual vacation. A Huroob case was filed against him.
This case came to the notice of lawyer P A Hameed of Padubidri. He alerted social worker Abdul Latif Panemangaluru who works in Buraid and also social worker Abdul Azeez.
After the efforts of all social workers and organizations and cooperation from the Indian embassy, Imran was released from Jawazat centre.
