Puttur, May 30: A student of Bhaktakodi SGM school displayed exemplary honesty by returning Rs 8000 which he found on road to the rightful owner who had lost it.
Prajwal is the boy being lauded for his noble act. A rubber tapping labourer of Tamil Nadu origin, who lives in a rented house of Sri Devi Stores at Veeramangala is the person who had lost Rs 8000. The teachers at school had informed the matter to their students. A senior student of the school, Prajwal got the bundle of notes on his way back home in the evening.
When Prajwal disclosed it to his family that he had found money on the way, his sister informed him about the person who had lost the money which she knew from the school. Lingappa Gowda, father of Prajwal, immediately called their headmaster of the school and told him about the labourer's money found. The money was returned to the rightful owner on the following day at school.
The Tamil origin labourer, who lost Rs 8000 gave Rs 500 as a reward to Prajwal and also distributed sweets to the students of the school as a mark of gratitude.
