Bantwal, May 31: “It is not right to talk meaninglessly just because we have a tongue,” warned RSS leader Dr Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat.
Speaking to reporters for the first time after his recovery from illness, he said, “What moral right do they have to speak against the RSS which is the only organisation which lives for crores of people in the country? RSS had gone to the rescue of people when two aircraft heading to the Muslim country met with an accident in Rajasthan.”
Dr Bhat said former union minister C M Ibrahim had visited the spot and he had himself praised the RSS for the first time after RSS handed over the dead bodies and jewellery to the families of the deceased. “I had thought something else about the RSS. But RSS has really done social work,” Ibrahim was quoted as saying then.
The sole objective of the RSS is to live for the common man. Only RSS activists are heard shouting slogans such as ‘Bharath mata ki jai’ daily while the others shout slogans for Italy,” Dr Bhat said.
“Do they remember that Nehru and Gandhiji had divided the country and the society? Should we not admit the disaster due to the division?” he asked.
“The Congress has given a headache due to the division of the country. They had allowed attacks inside and outside the country and even to shout slogans such as ‘Pakistan Zindabad’,” Dr Bhat said.
“As signs of Hindu temple were found at Malali, it should be left to Hindus after a compromise is reached. There are several such disputes centres which should be left to the Hindus. There are differences between a temple, a mosque and a church. While a mosque and a church are places of worship they can be constructed anywhere. But temples have a history, therefore, those should be constructed at the same site,” he said.
