CWC meeting to condole the death of Arjun Singh

New Delhi, Mar 5 (PTI) A meeting of the Congress Working Committee is being held here this morning to condole the death of veteran party leader Arjun Singh.

Singh (81), who was admitted to AIIMS some days ago with chest pain and neuro problems, yesterday died of a heart attack.

Congress Chief Sonia Gandhi and several other leaders are expected to be present at the meeting to pay homage to the departed leader.

The mortal remains of Singh will be consigned to flames on Sunday at his native village Churhat in Madhya Pradesh, his younger son and Congress MLA Ajay Singh said.

Arjun Singh is survived by his wife Saroj Singh, his two sons, Abhimanyu and Ajay and daughter Veena Singh.
