'Hosni Mubarak is World's Richest Person'

London, Mar 5 (PTI): Ousted Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, reportedly ailing with cancer may be the richest man in the world, with his wealth estimated to be a staggering $70 billion dollars.

Mubarak's wealth comes from offshore accounts deposited in secret bank accounts or invested in luxury homes and hotels, according to 'The Guardian'.

The British claimed that in over 30 years of presidency, the former Egyptian president had access to investment deals that over time have generated huge profits.

Most of these gains, according to the newspaper, were taken offshore.

Mubarak owned properties in Manhattan and Beverly Hills, while much of the money was kept in banks in England and Switzerland, reported earlier by the Al Khabar newspaper.

Christopher Davidson, a professor of political science at Durham University, said that Mubarak has managed to gather wealth through a series of business partnerships with various foreign investors and companies with whom he was closely connected since the military stage.

The 70 billion dollars would put Mubarak comfortably ahead of Mexican business magnate Carlos Slim, who is worth about $53.5 billion, and Microsoft founder Bill Gates, with $53 billion.

THE PHAROAH OF THE CENTURY 2010. LOOTED THE WEALTH OF POOR EGYPTIANS. BEFORE HE DIE OF CANCER, HE SHOULD HANG IN THE PUBLIC TO HAVE A LESSON FOR THE OTHERS. DURING THE GULF WAR HE WAS FAMOUS IN THE REGION AS "TELEPHONE BOOTH". MEANS IF YOU MONEY YOU CAN SPEAK,IF THE COINS FINISHED THEN MUBARAK WON'T SPEAK. AN UGLY CREATURE.

What he accomplished in his life
being the richest person in the
world? Did he make the money through
    any legitimate avenue like some
other richest people in the world?
    But simply through stealing and
mainly from the poor people of
Egypt who were living with less
    than $ 2.00 a day income.

    Mubarak is perhaps the richest
    person in another thing too:
    "trillions of curse from the
poor people". How, he is going to
face eternity? What a fate and
life? The great leader was kicked
out of power by the masses of
Egypt. Watch the number of people
attending his funeral, and let us
all make a neutral judgment about
    his accomplishment.

Once all these revolutions are over and their respective dictators gone, you'll find that there are many more billionaires in the world.
