Puttur, June 5: Police have arrested three people in connection with the murder of a 28-year-old Charan Raj at Perlambady of Bellare, in Sullia taluk here on Saturday, June 4.
Those arrested are Narmesh Rai (29), Nithil Shetty (23), and Vijesh (22). They were arrested from Palthadka of Keyuru Village of Puttur taluk.
A team led by Rukma Naik PSI Bellare and PSI Udaya Ravi of Puttur Rural arrested the accused.
The accused were arrested under the guidance of Superintendent of Police Sonawane Rishikesh Bhagawan, Additional SP Kumar Chandra, DySP Gana P Kumar and Circle Inspector Sullia Naveen Chandra Jogi. Rukma Naik PSI Bellare and PSI Udaya Ravi of Puttur Rural formed different teams to nab the accused.
Kishore Poojary and others had attacked Charan Raj at Perlambady of Bellare. A case has been registered in Bellare police station.
It may be recalled that on the night of September 4, 2019, at 10 pm, Karthik Merla was brutally hacked to death in front of Sampya police station by the accused Kiran, Charan and Preetesh of Mangaluru.
