Qatar, Jun 14: Organised by the well-known cricket tournament organiser CRIC QATAR, under the leadership of its President Syed Rafi, the 3 months long league which featured 52 teams concluded on June 10, 2022. It is Cric Qatar’s 14 successful league which ended on a successful note.
The rejuvenated Bolan CC team defeated the young HIQ Cricket club to lift the CRIC QATAR WINTER LEAGUE trophy. Total 52 teams participated in this mega cricket tournament which ended on 10th of June 2022 with finals played at Cric Qatar grounds.
In the final match after winning the toss Bolan CC elected to bat first and within stipulated 20 overs scored 232/5, chasing the target HIQ Cricket Club were bowled out for a meagre score of 126 runs.
Imran Swatey was adjudged man of the match for scoring 57 runs in just 34 balls with 5 boundaries and 4 sixes and also bowled brilliantly by conceding just 9 runs in 3 overs and claimed 2 wickets. Imran Nazeer of Bolan was declared Man of the Series and Best Bowler of the tournament was Urooj Ahmed of HIQ Cricket Club.
Speaking on the prize distribution ceremony, Syed Rafi the president of Cric Qatar said, that their intention is to conduct the tournaments in a professional and transparent manner. He also said that today more than 575 cricket teams are registered under CRIC QATAR and they regularly play matches under their banner by utilising their scoring app.
Cric Qatar’s closing ceremony was an enthralling one and lifting the trophy in the presence of more than five hundred people is an amazing experience, said Syed Mukarram, Mohd Irfan and Mohammed Atif of HIQ Cricket Club. The umpires for the final match were Jaffer Ali Khan and Tanveer Ahmed, who did brilliant job.
At the prize distribution ceremony Gadde Srinivas Managing Director of Dana World Contracting Co, Jaiprakash Singh Project Manager of Qatari Diar, Vandana Raj & Mohinder Jalandhary of Doha Music Lovers group were present along with Bhaskar Choubey of Focus Trading & Cont Co. The Winners & Runners Trophies were handed over by Syed Rafi Chairman of Cric Qatar and by Gadde Srinivas to the respective winning teams.
