Karkala: Sick wife, differently-abled son - Man pushes boy into well, kills self

Karkala, Jun 19: In a heart-wrenching incident reported from Kervashe village in the taluk on June 18, a father, who was distraught due to the sickness of his wife and the burden of taking care of a differently-abled son, pushed his boy into the well, ensured that he died and then hung himself to death.

Krishna Poojary (55), a resident of Pacharabettu near Shettibettu of Kervashe village is the man who was bogged down by difficulties of life and took the extreme step. Deepesh (26) was his unfortunate son.

Krishna Poojary lived with his wife and son. His wife also fell sick some years ago. Krishna worked as daily wager for a living. He had to take care of both wife and son after toiling hard day in and day out. It was becoming difficult for Krishna to manage and hence he took the tragic step, it is said.

A case in this regard is filed in Ajekaru police station.
