Mangaluru/Udupi, Jun 19: Dakshina Kannada on Sunday, Jun 19, reported thirteen new coronavirus case while Udupi registered four cases.

The total number of positive cases in the district has risen to 1,35,709 out of which 48 are currently active.

The death toll in the district so far stands at 1,851.

The district administration has urged people to strictly continue maintaining social distance in public places and wear masks when stepping out of the house. Anyone not wearing a mask would be fined by the authority.

So far, the district administration has collected Rs 1,16,05,880 as fine in 96,212 incidents of mask violation.

Udupi

Four corona cases were reported on Jun 19, the total active Covid cases are 18.

A total of 10,87,264 people have received first dose of vaccination and 10,73,373 have received both doses and 83,114 people have received booster dose.

Udupi taluk reported 4 cases, Kundapura 0 and 0 case in Karkala.

A total of 53 cases of mucormycosis (black fungus) have been reported in the district so far.
