Mangaluru/Udupi, Jun 25: Dakshina Kannada on Saturday, Jun 25, reported two new coronavirus cases while Udupi registered one case.

The total number of positive cases in the district has risen to 1,35,751 out of which 39 are currently active.

The death toll in the district so far stands at 1,851.

The district administration has urged people to strictly continue maintaining social distance in public places and wear masks when stepping out of the house. Anyone not wearing a mask would be fined by the authority.

So far, the district administration has collected Rs 1,16,05,880 as fine in 96,212 incidents of mask violation.

Udupi

One corona case was reported on Jun 25, the total active Covid cases are 11. No patients were discharged from hospital on Saturday.

Udupi taluk reported one case.

A total of 10,87,856 people have received first dose of vaccination and 10,76,153 have received both doses and 93,617 people have received booster dose.

A total of 53 cases of mucormycosis (black fungus) have been reported in the district so far.
