Mangaluru, Jun 26: Ullal police detained a person for allegedly creating nuisance under Ullal police station limits on Saturday June 25 night.

It is gathered that around 60 staff members of Omkar Printing Enterprise from Bengaluru had come on a trip to Mangaluru. They had halted at Camp 21, Vasco Beach House and Suresh Beach House resorts on Saturday night.

After having dinner, a person identified as Sharanappa trespassed into Ramappa, a local’s compound, which was adjacent to the resort, and knocked on the latter’s door. After seeing Sharanappa, Ramappa’s daughter began to scream. Locals who gathered on the spot roughed up Sharanappa.

Sharanappa sustained minor injuries in the incident.

Mangaluru, Jun 26: Two gangs of Bengaluru origin fought with each other at a private guest house at Ucchila Battappady. The locals alleged that the gang members also created ruckus by entering their houses and held a protest.

A party was in progress at the private guest house. People had arrived in two buses. Friction began between the two gangs after midnight. The members got down to the road and started a brawl.

One gang, which was highly inebriated, entered one of the houses and created ruckus. Police were informed. One person got injured in the friction. All escaped as the police arrived.

Locals have urged police to take stringent action against the accused. Ullal police have registered a case and are investigating further.
