Mangaluru: Dakshina Kannada, city police destroys huge quantity of seized narcotics

Mangaluru, Jun 26: The Dakshina Kannada police destroyed 53.128 kg of ganja worth Rs 23,75,300 and 120 gram heroin worth Rs 30,00,000 as part of International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking on Sunday June 26.

After obtaining court permission, the illicit drugs were destroyed in the Biomedical Waste Management, Processing, and Disposal Unit of Ramky Energy and Environment Ltd.

Superintendent of police Sonawane Rishikesh Bhagwan, Bantwal assistant superintendent of police Shivanshu Rajput, and DySP Puttur sub-division Dr Gana P Kumar were present during the occasion.

Further, seized 580.860 kg ganja, 25 gram heroin, and 320 gram MDMA seized under Mangaluru police commissionerate limits from 15 stations in 95 cases were destroyed at Ramky Energy and Environment Ltd. The cost of totally seized narcotics is Rs 1,28,74,700.

    in this also 40% must have been taken as commission i think..rest 60 burnt..but not sure whether those gunny bags have narcotic or THARAYDA TEPPU...cannot believe,..khadi, khaki and kavi

    TRUE MR REAL KUJUMA. ITS DRAMA OF HOME MINISTRY TO SHOW PUBLIC , THEY DESTOYED DRUGS. ONLY PHOTO SHOOT THEY SHOWED DRUGS. BUT LATER THAT DRUGS HAS BEEN TRANSFERD SAME MAFIA GANG FOR THE BUISNESS. ONLY FOR EYE WASH MAY FEW DRUGS DESTOYED.
