Mangaluru, Jun 28: Sea erosion fury continues in Someshwara Ucchila, Battappady and Ullal Seaground areas. The beach road collapsed further and is on the verge of getting washed away into the sea.
Contact with more than 15 houses is snapped. Residents are facing difficulties even to come out of the houses.
The connecting road to Battampady is damaged due to unscientific work that was carried out for the past two years. As retaining wall burns were not built on an area of 600 meters, Ucchila-end point connection is snapped. Most of the land area of End Point are washed away into the sea.
Around 15 houses are facing danger of collapsing and getting washed away in sea at Ullal Seaground. Mescom is holding electricity pole shifting work at Ucchila. Locals are urging to put stones on temporary basis at least.
