Mangalore : Middle East Crisis Forces Cancellation of  ‘Soad Universal-3’

Daijiworld Media Network—Mangalore

Mangalore, Mar 19: Ambitious Konkani reality show ‘Soad-3 Universal’, has been called off in view of the ongoing crisis in the Middle East. The event had generated great interest among Konkani singing talents worldwide.

Mandd Sobhann, MCC Qatar, and Daijiworld.com had jointly announced the mega show, and competitions for the Mangalore leg had begun. Since all the Gulf countries are an important part of the show, the current political scenario in the region seems unfavorable for continuing the show at this juncture.

The organizers, in a joint press note, said that there has been overwhelming response from participants in the Middle East and India. They expressed their regret and thanked everyone who supported ‘Soad-3 Universal’.

Different people have different views and experience, even I have my expereince of working in konkani associations, I have seen many people tirelessly working for the community without any selfish motives, we need to encourage them, yes offcourse there might be some who have their selfish agendas but all are not the same, there are people who deserve our support and we should support them, so guys please don't make general statements and selfish comments. My request to all is please continue your good work for konkani and our community don't be bugged by such silly irresponsible comments. Keep the good work going. and my request to people like Russel and others is please don't make general statements grow up and be responsible while commenting. Thank you

    Hey Mark,
First of all I do not know who you are and I dont want to know so. My comments are on my own experience where you donot have to judge. You speak konkani at home and your kids will automatically learn. Konkani has lived and will live for long.Everyone knows who makes money on konkani.if you are not involved why should you be upset.

This reminds me the statement Mr. Ronald D.F.D’Souza, Bondel/Mangalore/Bahrain, made on the report of Dec 28 Press release of Soad-3 Universal ‘’ Do not take our Mother Tongue for your own benefits, one fine day all are involved will be back fired’’.

    Hi Russel
What about you Russel. Why did you left Mangalore and working so long years in Muscat. Is it not for MONEY so called Mangoes ? Why you did not stay over in Mangalore for developement of Konkanni language and there you could mint money. Please if you have personal gruge with those guys speak to them personally and if you have courage settle the matter with them but not in the Media yaar. By this you are spoiling your image and discourging people who work for Konkanni still your comment is a peanut for them. They are the people who took konkanni to the great heights. It is natural yaar once you settled in India you youself do not wish someone to visit you for donations or so called mangoes. How about you yaar.?

As per my openion it can be concluded with participents from India this time if the Organizers are real in the hunt of talent, since Gulf countries it looks a bit difficult to conduct the show because of the ongoing protests.
