Mangalore: First Ever Flood-lit  Jaya – Vijaya Kambla Kicks Off

Mangalore, Mar 19: The ace kambala event organized in memory of the Late J Jayagangadhara Shetty, in the name of Jaya-Vijaya Jodukare Kambala under floodlights was inaugurated on Netravati river bank in Jappinamogaru of here on Saturday March 19.

It was inaugurated by Derebail Vittaldas Tantri at 8.30 am. Chief convenors Padmanabha Shetty, Vinay Naik, J Nagendra Kumar, Bhaskar Chandra Shetty, Keshav Angadimar and president of the committee J Anil Shetty Mankuthota among others were present. District minister-in-charge J Krishna Palemar will preside over the formal function to be held at 6.00 pm in the evening.

Lok Sabha member Nalin Kumar Kateel, state tourism minister G Janardan Reddy, assembly deputy speaker N Yogish Bhat, MLAs Abhayachandra Jain, D K Shivakumar, B Ramanath Rai and U T Khader will be guests on the occasion.

The 'Sur-Sargam' troupe will present a musical concert at 8.30 pm  followed by a filmy dance show.
