Mangalore: Talent Milad Award 2011 for 84 Achievers

Mangalore, Mar 20: Talent Research Foundation conferred Talent Milad Awards 2011 on 84 persons who have achieved success in 28 different areas at a function held at the Town Hall here on Sunday March 20 at 10.00 am.

The foundation presented the award in each of the 28 areas to a person belonging to the Hindu, Muslim and Christian community in a bid to foster communal harmony. The award that is given to achievers from various walks of life comprises Best Traffic Police, Best Lineman, Best Postman, Best Consuctor and best Mechanic Awards among others recognizing the sincere workers, who excelled in the professions they were in.

Mandd Sobhann gurkaar Eric Ozario, Janab Y Abdulla Kunhi, chancellor, Yenepoya University Mangalore, Dayanand Pai, managing director, Century Group, Bangalore, Ajith Kumar Rai Maladi, president, Federation of World Bunts Association and U T Khader, Mangalore MLA among the guests of honour.

    i attended the programme, indeed it was very good. the team has e a hindu, A christain & a Muslim in every category of award...

    This is a good gesture. But instead of organising this so called talent award you could have awarded merit scholships to the students of minorities and backward classes who are economically deprived

    This is a true secular organisation who go after recognising and honouring the best talents in the lower spectrum of professions. Its very hard task as these professionals are many and whom to recognise and honour is bit tiresome work. It requires lots of patience and parameters to judge who is best and whos not. Great work. Keep going as u have treated everyone as Indian based on their contribution/performance and not based on the religion and community... Merit speaks and not the caste or ideogoloy.... Thats the need of hour.... Forget the religion/belief, work for the society... Unity in diversity.
