Mangaluru: Five arrested for illegal cattle trafficking

Mangaluru, Jul 3: The Bajpe police have arrested five people and seized a pickup van, one bull, the total value of which is Rs 5 lac, on the accusation of illegal transportation of cattle with the intention of slaughtering.

Ananda Gowda (52), Mohan Gowda (49), Mohammed Jamal (39), Mohammed Sharif (49) and Mohammed Riaz (30) are the accused arrested by the police.

The operation was carried out by Bajpe PI Kusumadar, PSI Poovappa, Kamala, ASI Rama Poojary and other personnel.
