Mangaluru: Customs officials seize gold worth Rs 31 lac hidden in milk powder packet

Mangaluru, Jul 4: The customs officials at the international airport in the city confiscated gold worth Rs 31,31,440 weighing 602.200 gram from a passenger of Kasargod origin.

The passenger, who arrived from Dubai, was carrying the gold in a paste form concealed inside a packet of milk powder.

Customs officials have filed a case and are investigating further.

    These guys who smuggle gold in paste form with these kind of innovative techniques have their brain in wrong place......the advanced digital scanners installed at the airports can detect any kind of metal and other suspicious items. Anyway bumper harvest for Manga gala airport.....!!!
