Beltangady, Jul 4: The schools and colleges of the taluk were ordered to be closed on July 4 in wake of incessant rains that are lashing the taluk. The order was passed by DC Rajendra K V citing safety of the school children.

Rain intensified further in the district from the evening of Sunday. Sporadic showers were noticed in the district on Sunday.
