Mangalore, Mar 22: Two youth identified as Siyabuddin, a resident of Malappuram and Ibraham of Uppinangady have been arrested on the charge of vandalizing the Chembugudde mosque in Ullal here in the wee hours of Tuesday March 22.

Speaking to Daijiworld, Ullal police sub-inspector Manjunath said that that they were taken into custody after the office-bearers of the management committee of the same mosque caught them red-handedly while pelting stone. He also suspected the duo to be of unsound mind. They have damaged the windows and doors apart from causing minor damages to the mosque building.

It is said that they opted for the bizarre action as they were not given a chance to sleep inside the mosque. The police rushed to the spot even before the public could gather at the mosque and averted any possible tense situation. Another source said that a certain union was behind this act, but police denied any such possibilities.

Since NO RELIGION claims to have seen the God, and since all religions lead their followers towards the unseen God,plus faith being individual relation with God, I hope a day will come, when there will be common places of worship, irrespective of faith and caste.

Definetly there is a need to investigate this particular incident because if I am correct such kind of incident never happened in and around DK/Udupi by it's own members of community. How could an Malapuram man(KERALA),named siyabuddin want to sleep in the Chemugudde mosque along with one from Uppinagady? What is thier motive. How could both are having unsound mind as police report says!!Police has to give serious thought as place of worship is very sensitve issue in DK/Udupi under prevailing situation.

If the youth were not caught, and if they did not belong to the same community......imagine the situation. The easiest way for anyone to instigate a riot seems to be "attack a place or worship". Mankind rendering God weak.
