Kundapur, Jul 6: A speeding car toppled into a roadside ditch on Wednesday July 6. The incident happened near Venkataramana temple, Shirur market.

Those in the car were residents of Udupi and were travelling to Udupi from Belagavi. The car was totally mangled in the mishap. Four people were critically injured.

The driver lost control over the car due to heavy rain, said sources. 

A case in this connection is registered at Byndoor police station.
