Mangaluru, Jul 8: A case is registered in Barke police station of the city of cheating to the tune of Rs 27.39 lac by a person who promised to supply medical equipment to a dealer.

Muralidhar Shetty, who deals in sales and service of medical equipment had given Rs 12 lac to the accused Amit Suresh Shewale in 2020 for supply of medical equipment on an agreement. However, he allegedly did not supply the goods and cheated Muralidhar.

When Muralidhar went several times to Pune and discussed the issue, the accused issued cheques against the payment which Muralidhar made to the accused. However those cheques bounced.
