Mangaluru: PSI recruitment scam - State government should probe right

Mangaluru, Jul 8: "The Congress leaders had said that there is a scam in PSI recruitment. We have claimed that the government is protecting senior officials. After the high court slammed the government, a senior IPS officer was arrested. This is a complete failure of the BJP-led state government in probing the case. The case should be investigated in the right manner, " said MLA U T Khader.

He was speaking to media persons at the circuit house here on Friday, July 8.

He also said that a judge had alleged his transfer for pulling up an ACB official in a PSI recruitment scam. "The state government is not functioning as per the constitution and law and order. After the court slammed the government, the case was handed over to CID. The government should give free hand to the officials to probe the case," Khader added.

Slamming the district in-charge minister and port minister Khader said, " In-charge minister and port minister have failed to visit places of sea erosion. When Congress was in power people never faced such a problem. The government every year should have a budget reserve for sea erosion. Congress has not done politics when the people are facing the problem. The state government has no concern about the people."

Speaking on MLA Bharath Shetty's statements on confiscating the property of those who slaughter cattle during the Bakrid, MLA U T Khader said, "The government should bring proper guidelines. No one should violate the law. Being a responsible representative he should not give such foolish statements. Representatives should build a bridge between communities and not divide the people and disrupt harmony. Let them bring a proper law. Why has he not raised the issue in session?," he questioned.
