Usha Suvarna had posted in social media with regard to the plight of Cyril D'Souza and then Daijiworld highlighted the same. Noticing it, White Doves founder Corrine Rasquinha along with Jerald visited the house of Cyril.
Corrine Rasquinha also spoke to Cyril’s daughter over phone who seemed to be in a helpless situation as she is married and is pregnant. Corrine Rasquniha promised to help him and convinced him to come to White Doves and lead a dignified life. Corrine also offered him a watchman’s job so that he can pay for his debt, while food and stay will be arranged by White Doves.
Corrine Rasquinha has given time for Cyril to think over it and take the right decision.
White Doves founder Corrine Rasquinha said, “I thank Daijiworld for higlighting the plight of Cyril. Cyril's staying condition is pathetic, but he has some belongings like vessels and is having a little bit of freedom here. So it was difficult to convince him to move out of this place. But, we are willing to take care of him and give him a good living and the job of a watchman so that he can pay for his debt. I have given him time to think over it. At the same time, I have asked him to keep coming to White Doves everyday at least to have a bath, dinner and a warm meal so that we can keep in touch every day. I wish to keep visiting his house and see his condition till he takes some kind of decision.
I feel anytime he can be thrown out of this place and to build a house it is not his land as government has not guaranteed him this land. He needs to be rehabilitated, I felt if he comes to White Doves then he will have a dignified life and probably I will give him a job of a watchman, where we will pay him a salary. Then even his wife and children will see that he is living a dignified life, working with a decent place to stay and his family can be reunited. It is up to Cyril to take the right decision. We all join together to do whatever we can for Cyril,” said Corrine Rasquinha.
