Bantwal, Jul 11: The Amarnath pilgrimage which was stopped due to the cloudburst that occurred on Friday has rebegun on Monday, July 11 morning.

Pilgrims from the taluk who took rest for a day in a military base are now eager to get the Darshan of the deity.

It may be recalled that many people had perished in the recent cloudburst. The government clarified that all the 30 pilgrims from Dakshina Kannada district are safe. Many pilgrims from other states had returned after the cloudburst. However, the team of pilgrims from Bantwal, who had reached Amarnath took rest with thousands of other devotees in the military base.

The governor who visited the pilgrims in the military base camp, said that opportunity will be provided for Darshan on Monday morning and accordingly the pilgrims have started towards the cave temple as per the information given by one of the pilgrims Suresh Kotian.

Life is more important than risking at such dangerous time of heavy rains. God could have even saved so many lives who went to perform their pilgrimage. At least learn from earlier happenings or incidents.
