RUPSA writes to PM Modi, seeks action against education minister B C Nagesh

Bengaluru, Jul 12 (IANS): The Karnataka unit of Registered Unaided Private Schools Management Association (RUPSA) has written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, alleging unscientific decisions and arrogant behaviour by the Primary and Higher Education Minister of Karnataka, B.C. Nagesh.

Karnataka RUPSA chief Lokesh Talikatte has demanded action against the minister as the development is inimical to the progress of education in the state.

"Sir, we are very sorry to bring to your kind notice that a few leaders, under your leadership, have failed to understand the spirit of your functioning. They behave like an uncrowned king. The Education Minister for Primary and Higher Secondary Education of Karnataka is one such," the letter read.

"It is the ardent duty of the state to provide quality education to every pupil of the state. But our minister doesn't understand this and always works against it.

"You are aware of the effects of Covid on education. Students have suffered due to lack of education continuously for two years. To add to this, child marriage, child labour etc. creeped in again. Instead of giving attention to such challenging issues, our Education Minister is involved in the controversial issue of text book revision.

"It was uncalled for. The result is even after two months of schools reopening, the government is not in a position to supply textbooks," it added.

The letter further stated, "Our minister is using NEP as a scarecrow. The state government has not allocated any funds for NEP implementation. The responsible Education Minister has simply indulged in loose talks for two years and has become a laughing stock in the society."

"Therefore, we sincerely request you to instruct the state government to remove him from the Education Ministry," the letter concluded.

BJP does not want your children to get educated to international standards. They want them to follow RSS ideology and follow them. Modi won’t do anything about it as Bomma takes instructions from centre by flying to Delhi every now and then. What has centre done about 40% commission?.

Totally agree but that is not practical because rules will be made by un educated and nobody will set fire to their own house. Only best way for good life is get out of India if you can and live a peaceful life.

Why just this useless Minister. Almost all are either corrupt or arrogant or both. Totally inefficient administration. This government headed by the CM has become a joke. The people should realise that Nagesh is hell bent on playing with the future of their children. He is just incapable of taking rational decisions. I don't think anything is going to happen by writing to the PM. Nagesh will continue in his post and will continue to play ducks and drakes with the children. The people should wake up to the reality and consign this government to the nearest dustbin. It is a pity nobody is talking against the misdeeds of this government. We will have only ourselves to blame if we fail to take action now. The country is going to dogs. Open your eyes and see the see the writing on the wall.

Sounds incredible: This man is faithfully implementing the wished and orders of the bosses at the Centre and you are complaining about behaving like an uncrowned king. Fellows, from top to bottom, they are not interested in education, but securing vote bank by keeping the masses in ignorance. Right concern but writing to a wrong man. Sorry state of affairs.

Governments are hardly for people who elect them... We the people still stick to our idols in power and worship them... RUPSA has acted as a responsible citizen to ask questions... This minister is not qualified to lead the education ministry... For that matter many ministers including Shobhaji do not know ABCD of their portfolio... Moreover governance is plagued by corruption... Latest example is the shelving of finalized tender bids for peripheral ring road in Bangalore... Cost of project has grown from 6000 crores in 2012 to 21000 crores today... Several big companies quoted including Shapoorji and L & T... Because of corrupt wants of politicians the much needed development is stalled once again.. It seems we are not under honest governance...

Appreciate the courage taken by RUPSA to speak the truth!!! But question here is whether the target understands the Quality Education ? If every person gets Quality Education in Karnataka there won't be any kind of Hatred, Hindu- Muslim, Brahman-Dalit, Polarisation, India-Pakistan, Unemployment, Keeping Silence on the rising prices of essential commodities and so on. If that happens who will be at loss ? Wake up India, Wake up before it is too late!!! Jai Hind!!!
