Bantwal, Jul 13: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai awarded a compensation of Rs 5 lac to families of three persons of Kerala descent who died in the landslide at Panjikallu last week.
The chief minister also saw pictures of the landslides and rain-hit areas in Panjikallu on his laptop.
He assured the affected families of a higher compensation amount.
Member of Parliament Naveen Kumar Kateel, revenue minister R Ashok, ministers S Angara, V Sunil Kumar and C C Patil, MLAs Rajesh Nayak and Sanjeev Mathandooru, former minister Pramod Madhwaraj, deputy commissioner Dr Rajendra K V, assistant commissioner Madan Mohan, ZP CEO Dr Kumar, Keonics chairman K Harikrishna Bantwal, Alemaari Nigama chairman Ravindra Shetty, Mysuru Electrical Corporation chairman Santosh Kumar Boliyaru, city water supply and sewerage board member Sulochana G K Bhat, BUDA chairman B Devadas Shetty, tahsildar Dr Smitha Ramu, PDO Vidya, Gramakarnika Kumar, Panjikallu GP chairman Sanjeev Poojary, DySP Pratap Thorat and others were also present.
