Mangalore: Reckless Bolero Driver’s Midnight Rampage Ends Life

Mangalore, Mar 26: In what turned out to be a freaky Friday, speeding Bolero driver lost his control and set out on a rampage near Punpwell in the city on March 25 at around 11.00 pm.

The driver, who is suspected to be in an inebriated state first went over a sleeping beggar and ended his life. But his wild ways did not stop there, unable to slow the tempo he also hit a fish lorry plying from Kerala.

However, the driver admitted the injured man in control of the fish lorry to a nearby hospital. Both the vehicles are completely mangled.

    Eedi boloka terged baide yaan, and I know and seen how Indian live and behave outside India and when they live in India. If you stay in Dubai airport and your flight delayed even its AI you don’t make any noise but if same happens in BAJPE airport it becomes a big issue that is the difference which I want to highlight. I don’t say you all don’t love India but staying far away don’t just make comment in air. Let all NRI who follow (mainly due to fear) the rule of the country where they live , please you be a example for the people who live in India and live same style as you live abroad, then there is possibility of changes.

    If the citizens of a country
    don't have fear of the enacted
    laws, then laws may not have the
    anticipated effect or purpose in real life.

    In the U.S., If the Mayor of a city is caught
    for reckless driving, he will be
    punished as a model culprit, so
    the ordinary citizens can get a
    double warning to be extra
    careful.

    As Mr. John Martin (Mangalore) has
    indicated, if the state of affairs
    are running in that direction,
    laws can't rectify the high volume of accidents created by
    the drunken drivers of the Indian
    roads.

    For those people who are caught
    for drunken driving, when severely
    punished without any political
    or social favour, that can send a
    message to the easy going
    drunken drivers, not to drink
    while on the wheels.

    An innocent man lost his life and
    another person may have to suffer
    pain for the rest of of his life.
    What a tragedy of life caused by
    the dangerous liquor!

    Sorry I didn't expect this comment from you. Infact it is very cheap. We stay out of country does not mean we do not love the country. We want to change and we want the changes in our country. What is wrong in it?

    I fully agree with Alwyn. We dont respect laws. We are not fear of consequences. We are totally oblivious of good and bad.

    Good things to be appreciated. Here in dubai people are very fear of laws. they don't drive even after 2 beers.

    This Bolero driver is a "bade baap ki bigdi hui aulad". Your police or RTO can't do anything. Just check what happened to Sallu Miya( Actor Salman Khan)nothing.....! The same thing will go on.... to this man.

    Dear Mr. Alwyn, USA.. The suggestion looks good only on paper, to check the driver of his alcoholic contents. But will it happen in India while the police themselves are drunk while they are on duty at night ??

    It is really sad when a person die when he/she is on sleep.

    May the soul who departed rest in peace, Amen.

    The RTO must revoke the driving license of culprit and put him jail and made to pay huge compensation for the victim [incase of injury]or victim’s family[in case of death]. There should not be any influence when you break the law.

    The authorities must stay alert specially near all wine shops and bars and check the people when they sit in the vehicles and if found alcohol in their system should be arrested and fined very heavily. Their driving license should be revoked for at least for three months. The insurance companies must increase their premium for such people.

    Can we expect the change in our system????
