New Delhi, March 26 (IANS) A 24-year-old chartered accountancy (CA) student was arrested for allegedly raping his five-year-old neighbour in east Delhi, police said Saturday.
"Sunil Kumar, residing as a tenant in Ganesh Nagar area in east Delhi was held for raping a Class 1 student Friday afternoon," a senior police officer said.
The girl was living with her mother, who got divorced a few years ago, and with her grandmother in Ganesh Nagar area.
"The victim was playing outside her house, when her neighbour Sunil lured her to his room and raped her. He then threatened to kill her and her mother if she told anyone about it," the officer said.
The victim narrated the incident to her mother, who registered a complaint.
"The victim was rushed to a hospital, where the rape was confirmed," the officer added.
