Bantwal: Transgender held for cheating woman by posing as man on Facebook


Bantwal, Jul 23 (IANS): A transgender has been arrested on charges of cheating a woman by posing as a man on Facebook account in Vittal here, police said on Saturday.

According to police, the accused posing as a civil engineer befriended a young woman on facebook and later, both of them fall in love with each other.

Both used to chat on Facebook and speak to each other over phone since past four years.

Recently, the mother of the girl got to know about her love affair, post which she shared it with her family friend Shailaja Rajesh, who is also an advocate.

The advocate with the help of Vitla police searched for the accused by tracking the location of his phone calls.

The police tracked the accused in Shankaranarayana of Udupi district and found out that he is a transgender.

Vitla police have lodged a case and arrested the transgender in connection with cheating the girl.

Further investigation is on.

    How did they determine that he is a transgender? BTW, lots of transgenders have migrated from Uttara Kannada and some northern states who are mainly engaged in begging and prostitution! Supposedly they have a colony somewhere in Surathkal!

    transgenders turn out to be extremely dangerous group of people in public...should be careful when they approach...now they have taken to online cheating...it is fine because after 2014 with feku baba abandon master ruling morality is low and cheating, fraud, rape have become everyday affair...but there is hope of suvarnayuga from 2024..provided people wake up and also no kusur pusur with EVMs

    Is this a question to ask j.anataji ? Why do you hate him so much ? No one knows who is what ? We do not know about you....you do not know about me....others do not know about us.
