Mangaluru/Udupi, Jul 26: Dakshina Kannada on Tuesday July 26, reported twelve new coronavirus cases while three cases were registered in Udupi.
The total number of positive cases in the Dakshina Kannada district has risen to 1,36,157 out of which 87 are currently active. As many as 11 patients were discharged on July 26.
No deaths were reported on July 26. The death toll in the district so far stands at 1,852.
The district administration has urged people to strictly continue maintaining social distance in public places and wear masks when stepping out of the house. Anyone not wearing a mask would be fined by the authorities.
Positivity rate for the day stood at 1.63 percent.
So far, the district administration has collected Rs 1,16,05,880 as fine in 96,212 incidents of mask violation.
Udupi
Three coronavirus cases were reported on July 26. The total active Covid cases are 38.
A total of 10,89,552 people have received the first dose of vaccination and 10,80,378 have received both doses and 1,56,612 people have received booster doses.
Udupi reported two cases and one case was from outside the district.
