Ruling state BJP to take decisive action against attacks on Hindu activists

Bengaluru, Jul 28 (IANS): Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Thursday said that his government will initiate a decisive action with regards to attacks on Hindu activists and BJP workers in the state.

"We are resolved to deal with the situation. Apart from regular investigations, special law will be formulated. Kerala High Court has made comments on the Popular Front of India (PFI) and other oganisations as terror outfits. The acts of these organisations validate this observation.

"We will completely destroy the organisations which are involved in killing innocent people. Apart from the available system, a full -fledged commando force, with capacity of intelligence and ammunition will be formed," he announced.

Bommai stated that his government has taken the killing of BJP activist Praveen Kumar Nettaru very seriously. "Every party worker and civilian's life is important. The nefarious organisations have committed enough sins and their time has come. In the coming days, it will not be our words, harsh action which is going to be initiated. I understand the feelings of youth. I can also relate to their outrage. The action will be taken as per their expectations," he announced.

There is a big network in the country behind all these events. The forces want to disturb peace and want communal violence and clashes. They have done it in Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh, he said.

During the tenure of Congress government in Karnataka, 22 BJP workers were killed across the state in Bengaluru, Mangaluru, Uttara Kannada and Mysuru districts. "It is unfortunate that the Congress government withdrew more than 200 cases on the organisation against which the complaints were lodged. These organisations got emboldened and involved in such acts," CM Bommai stated without taking the name of the Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI).

Asked as to why he is not urging for banning SDPI and PFI, CM Bommai stated that the procedure of getting opinion from all states of the country is on regarding the matter. The Chhattisgarh government imposed the ban only to be vacated in one month by the Supreme Court.

"When I was Home Minister, more than 15 people were sent to Tihar jail. I know what action needs to be taken. I have personally visited the violent prone DJ Halli-KJ Halli and Padarayanapura localities and taken action," he maintained. "We are ready to take action as per evidence on anti-national, anti-peace elements," he added.

According to the sources, the party is under fire from all corners, including its own members and Hindu activists who form core strength of the party, following the murder of Nettaru.

With the Assembly elections less than 10 months away, the ruling BJP can't afford backlash from Hindu activists and hence is all set to send out a strong message to masses, they added.

Thirty-one-year-old Praveen Kumar Nettaru's murder follows the killing of Bajrang Dal activist Harsha in Shivamogga on February 20. Besides, there have been attacks on other Hindu activists as well, party insiders said.

@ Adarsh, mumbai - Never ever, I am Indian first. I love people from all religions and will never betray nor have any ill feeling. But from your way of analysing the situation that you like only your community people. What is happening is our politicians including CM are poisoning peoples mind and heart by brain washing them on Hindutva logic or philosophy. Compensation should be rewarded for any body who is murdered on a political aspect. Even Muslims get killed by non Muslims then why no sympathy or pity on them .? (they deserve) It's all political game. sorry I repeat I never entertain any such discriminative thoughts in mind and heart !

Looks like Country's destruction is in the process under BJP leaders . They are worried only about BJP expansion and Hindu Raya ! It's matter of worry when Rupee value goes down unchecked. communal violence has picked momentum, How long foreign reserves will last if economic situation worsens. Karnataka CM gives lecture as if he is the secondary school student. He is openly instigating and promoting sectorial /communal ill feelings feeding Rightwing groups with tax payer money. GST is collected and utilized for Cow Welfare. Never bothered to bring fuel/gas prices down. 24x7x365 carries his grumpy face as if he is carrying the weight of the country on shoulders. Some seers/family members must advise him to spread some glow on his face and smile once in a while. Life comes and goes. I have in my life seen a face filled with vengeance, pride and disgust.

If the trend of rewarding Rs. 1 Crore on a political martyr , the strength of Hindu activists may increase by many folds. there is a saying that "Money makes even a dead person to open the eyes" First find out a right solution how to bring peace and not by rewarding crores. Implement good governance and not the governance based on religion and community values. that will destroy the basis structure of a secular democratic norms. Stop poisoning peoples mind on religious & Hindutva principles.

Sir, If you are a Secular leader never say "Ruling state BJP to take decisive action against attacks on Hindu activists" If you are a true, educated, secular, progressive minded person never defend only certain section of people. Country belongs to its citizens, irrespective of Cast, creed, religion gender bases nor community based. It’s fair to justify as ‘no attacks on any community by any other group will not be tolerated’ Law of the land is equal to all and not only to selective Rightwing group members. Love all and provide equal justice to all.

Quote.. Action and reaction..unquote. Inorder to prevent all actions Govt should impartially act, irrespective of religion, caste, creed or any color then all reactions would cease automatically. Just glorifying one religion will undoubtedly lead to unrest in the whole society. India belong to one universal religion that is called humanity. Govt shouldn't encourage religion or caste based policies in the justice system. Keep India secular no matter whichever Govt in power. These kind of incidents are eye opener for people of twin districts. Intelligent people of our twin districts think wisely and elect next govt. We want peace and harmony in our society and only possible when we elect a right govt with secular all inclusive policies. Jai Hind.

Dear CM every individual person's life is important. Your Govt is sole responsible for the life and security of every citizen of our state Karnataka. What statement is this? "government will initiate a decisive action with regards to attacks on Hindu activists and BJP workers". Are rest of humans equal lent to mosquitos?. Govt is for all people and not only for one section of the population. Just by dividing the people in line with religion will not give you votes every time. Majority of people who vote you maybe uneducated but are not stupid to not understand the situation. Please arrest those who are responsible it is more than 48 hours and still not able to get any clue!

Assaults against anybody has to be prevented, there is no point in shouting after a person is dead.It is an unbearable loss to the family, be it any religion. Accordingly to news reports, in the case of Praveen Kumar he had already complained to the police that he was being followed and watched. If police had kept some armed personel in plain clothes near his shop and residence, a death could have been prevented. The inspector of the jurisdictional police station should be dismissed (not suspended). Only then killings and assaults will stop.
