Kasargod, Apr 4: On the occasion of the 125th Jubilee year of Mangalore Diocese the Crucifix was carried from Don Bosco Church Pavoor to Sacred Heart Church, Vorkady here, recently.

Crucifix was invited by the parish priest Fr Denis Suvares with a garland and was taken to the Church. Opening prayer and an hour of reflection of the crucifix was led by Deacon Wilson D’Souza . At the end parish priest gave his blessings to people.

It was indeed a spiritual experience to all the parishioners. On the next day the devotees spent the day on prayer, fasting and reflections till 7.30 pm. The half day was guided by Fr Stany Monteiro from Olavinahalli. Another half day parishners took turns ward-wise to conduct prayer service .The sisters of the parish helped the people to pray.

On April 1 evening after the way of the cross the concluding prayer was led by the parish priest and the crucifix was taken to Fathima Church Miyapadavu with grand procession of the vehicles.

Fr Denis Suvares guided and directed the whole event and made the days more spiritual and memorable.
