Muscat: Mangalorean Community to Host Elysium Band Live in Concert

Media Release

Muscat, Apr 4: The Mangalorean community in association with the Indian Embassy will host 'Band Elysium Live in Concert' under the patronage of Anil Wadhwa, ambassador of India on Thursday April 7 at the Embassy Lawns in Al Khuwair, Muscat.

Gaining rising popularity over the past few years, Elysium has earned the distinction of being a top Mangalorean desi rock band of India.

Incredibly entertaining and vastly effervescent, Band Elysium is dedicated especially to the youth of today, yet with its extensive repertoire provides entertainment for all age groups.

Manned by a team of post-graduate professional musicians and sound engineers, Elysium brings to its audience an incredible variety of foot tapping music and mellifluous vocals. The troupe band mates Loy Valentine Saldanha, Joel Maxwell, Darrel Mascarenhas, Melwyn D’Souza, Ashley Michael and Ashish Palanna will entertain Oman with their great fusion music. Elysium also has the distinction of having their music compositions sung by Bollywood singers like Remo Fernandes and Usha Uthup.

A recent feather in the cap for Elysium is an acoustic version of the ICC World Cup Song developed by the band titled 'Aao Gao.’ This has been selected as the number one song in Karnataka for the ICC World Cup 2011. It will be on the official 'Cricket For peace' audio album as top 20 compositions for World Cup 2011 and will be released internationally by cricket and bollywood legends.

Anil Wadhwa, ambassador of India stated that he is confident that Elysium will rock the audience with its outstanding rock 'n' roll band and rhythmic Bollywood tunes and will take the music of coastal Karnataka to the people of India, as well as to the vibrant multi-cultural Indian community in Oman.

Hey Kiran, I have been in the venue. And as I know them very well , they have played their very own "ELYSIUM's compositions. And it was not a Konkani Show to play Mog Asom or Apalipa songs, It was a Rock Show. They were all their very own Hindi Compositions.. And Ashwin is NOT in band ELYSIUM.. Please make it clear. May be you heard the so called "PAX's songs on your iPod at the embassy of India. Hope you enjoyed those songs.
It was great working with you guys.. Hoping to see you here very soon..
