Mangalore, Apr 6: The website, 'eduorb.com', was launched on Wednesday April 6 in the city to reach out to the student community with in various formats of information, knowledge and social networking.

The site will assist students in getting all their professional needs, said website founder and managing partner Edmond Fernandes (medical student and freelance journalist). Manoj Shetty, another founder and managing partner, who is a graduate in Bachelors of Computer Applications, currently director in Mantra solutions pvt ltd added that the objective of the website is to reach out to the student community worldwide/ to guide them on multi-dimensions, in the era of technology.

The website is designed by Jaijith J, a web-designer who designs websites under the name of technothesis. Various honorary members have also agreed to join hands in this purposeful endeavour.

Background

India has a largest youth aged below 30 who are multi skilled and filled with enthusiasm. Basic idea behind developing this site is to meet each and every student needs and to promote awareness in different aspects. When the duo came to know that there is no site which helps students to get latest updates, build their own network, share ideas, meet day to day needs, share creative thoughts, find industry opportunities, etc all at one place. This very lack, inspired them to create one portal that is of unique kind. A student can also contribute his talents in the form of literature, photography and other creative endevours including humour.

Capt Ganesh Karnik, MLC was present at the press meet.
