Karnataka reports 1,694 fresh Covid cases, one death reported in last 24 hours

Bengaluru, Aug 6: Karnataka on Saturday, August 6, reported 1,694 new coronavirus cases.

As per the bulletin released by the state health department, the active cases in the state stand at 11,355. Bengaluru urban's single-day tally is 1,105.

One death was reported due to coronavirus in the state on Saturday. The death toll in the state has risen to 40,114.

The state recorded 1741 discharges from hospitals on Saturday, taking the total discharges to 39,63,294.

So far, Karnataka has seen 40,18,250 positive cases since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.

The positivity rate for the day stands at 6.02%. As many as 11,67,29,920 people have received vaccination so far.
