Yeddy in Mangalore: 'Time to Wipe Out Corruption'

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangalore

Mangalore, Apr 9: Chief minister B S Yeddyurappa who was in the city on a brief visit en route to Kumble in Kasargod, said that it is time to get rid of corruption in the country.

He was addressing media persons at Mangalore airport here on Saturday April 9. He was on a day-long visit to Kasargod to participate in a couple of programmes.

Yeddyurappa, himself embroiled in land scams and allegations of corruption and nepotism, hailed the Jan Lokpal bill and appealed to the Prime Minister to call a meeting of CMs of all states to discuss the matter.

He asserted that the Jan Lokpal bill is necessary to ensure transperancy in administration and added that such a legislation was the need of the hour. The bill has come at the right time and will enable the eradication of corruption, he said.

The CM had expressed his support for the bill on Friday April 8 in Bangalore also, saying that corruption was a major hindrance for development, and holding the opposition responsible for charges against him.

He was escorted by district in-charge minister Krishna J Palemar, mayor Praveen Anchan, deputy mayor Geetha Nayak, deputy commissioner Subodh Yadav, SP Labhu Ram and other officials of the police department and the MCC.

Joke of the day!Mr.Yediyurappa, there is no time frame or dead line to end corruption, corruption shouldn't have existed in the first place. The only silver line in the dark cloud now is passing the Lok Pal bill in it's stringet form in the winter session of parliment and when that happens you better run for your protective cocoon if at there is one.

    Arun. CK, Dubai,

As usual you are again communual and venomous in your comments. Representatives gets elected by the eligible electorate and the electorate of same constituency should have the right to recall them. Here electorate matters and not the persons. If today some one elects some body, after couple of years some people who voted for might be dead or migrated or sick and some one who could not vote because of their minor status would have become major and got the voting rights. According to you if the same persons who voted for should have the right to recall their representatives, then I shall have to ask people like you to go to the graves of dead and hospital beds of the sick to get these people back to life for the prupose of recall voting. I feel now I opened your eyes and widened your brain.

As Anna had said this is the beginning of the end to human exploitation. All high and mighty should be accountable for their misdeeds. The double faced Hindutvas should be answerable to their racial hatred and under the umbrella of patriotism they take undue advantage in all fields they venture into but at the same time they evade different modes of taxes & levies and deprive the govt. revenue that is meant for the poor.
Even in our society the value of ethics has reached to its lowest rung of the social ladder, the powerful elders deprive the rightful share of their younger siblings and shamelessly amass ill-gotten wealth. The uncles and elders molest their nieces/nephews & wards in their own homes and the innocent victim bear it silently. Teachers/lecturers don’t come prepared to teach the class instead they remain busy taking extra tuitions or running tutorial classes.

The police, instead of protecting the citizens, they bully the gullible and let free the criminals with hefty bribes. Some of the judges & police officials are hand in gloves with the criminals and fearlessly commit crime in open society. The Sub-Registrars, Municipal Corporation officials, Commercial/Income Tax officials etc are openly demanding money do their duties.
    STOP THEM ALL. JAI HIND!

If we want to wipe out corruption from our country, please wipe out completely the politiicians and their family members. Lets have right to recall bill passed. In any democracy, the citizens are the masterss of governance and not these dirty and corrupt politicians. We need electoral reforms which must include negative voting and right to call back our elected representative. At present, after election our reps forget us, do whatever they wish, loot our country, change their parties and affiliations for money and act like our masters. They should know that they are our servants in public life and we are their masters. Tide needs to change. We need to build a strong and transperent democracy and corrpution free strong nation....

First check in our own district Corporation, Revenue department, R.T.O., Forest Department, Block Development Offices, Police departments, every Taluk offices, even taluk treasury, town municipalities & village Panchayats without feeding files will never move.
How the flats are becoming costly? Without bribing electricity department, corporation & registration office can anybody get license?

The real estates are fat with short cut money spreading intensity hype of panicking & misguiding public in the name of SEZ's.

Can anybody get a house plan passed from the corporation without bribing?
Even some news papers, TV channels are trapping people for money.
Engineering colleges are asking exorbitant money from where the parents bring this much money?
The medical colleges are far from the reach of the ordinary people.
The KSRTC bus conductor is working for himself.
The KSRTC stores department is hungry for selling spare parts to the public in half rate.
Social evils such as dowry are taking heavy toll, crazy for corruption.
The lawyers are deceiving their own clients for money.
    The judges are corruptive.
The public prosecutors & lawyers have understanding in the goose
Action is required. Enough voice has been raised now & then without any results. Need of the hour is peoples power to check in whoever takes corruption. Can we do? If our own are indulged in how to handover to Dr. Hegde?
Everybody wanted to accomplish their job by hook or crook without effort
