Bengaluru, Aug 15: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Monday claimed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has become a ‘resounding success’ across the country and said: “Our beloved leader has laid the foundation for the next 25 years.’’
Speaking to media persons after participating in the 225th Jayanti celebrations of Krantiveer Sangolli Rayanna organised by the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) in Bengaluru, he praised the Prime Minister and said the entire country wholeheartedly participated in the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign.
“The entire country is celebrating the county’s 75th Independence Day. While the national tricolour is fluttering over 40 crore houses in the entire country, Karnataka has seen 1.25 crore houses flying the national flag,’’ he said and urged all citizens to joyfully participate in the country’s freedom and strive for its progress unitedly.
The Chief Minister said all citizens are equal before the national flag, which sees no distinction of caste, religion or groups. “All of us are Indians and we are children of mother India,’’ he said.
Congress MLA Dinesh R Gundu Rao, former minister H M Revanna, former MLA Vatal Nagaraj, former Mayors Ramachandrappa, Hutchappa, BBMP Administrator Rakesh Singh, Chief Minister’s Principal Secretary N Manjunath Prasad and others participated.
