Advani Hits Out at Anti-politician Stance of Hazare Supporters

New Delhi, April 12 (IANS) Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader L.K. Advani Tuesday came out in defence of former party colleague Uma Bharti who was turned away from Jantar Mantar by supporters of Anna Hazare and said the anti-politician stance of some social activists as a "disservice to democracy".

"I am of the view that those who revel in spreading a general climate of disdain about politics and politicians are doing a gross disservice to democracy," Advani wrote on his blog.

"There is no dearth of analysts who hold that the popularity of these two personalities has a lot to do with the fact that they shun political personalities," Advani wrote, referring to Anna Hazare and Baba Ramdev.

"No wonder the news that Uma Bharti was turned away from Jantar Mantar, the venue of Anna Hazare's fast was very prominently publicized. It was done by some who claimed to be Anna's followers," he wrote.

Uma Bharti was booed away from Jantar Mantar by supporters of Anna Hazare during his fast there last week to demand a strong anti-corruption bill. Hazare later apologised to Uma Bharti.

"It is an index of Anna's innate decency, and his disinclination to believe that all politicians are corrupt that when he learnt about this he publicly apologized to Uma," said Advani.

"Despite the shortcomings of Indian democracy we still have conscientious and upright politicians in the country and it is they who still give people optimism and confidence for the future," he added.

The safest method of curruption is gifting/donating public funds to Temples,Mandirs & Mutts.
The money comes back to your pocket after its merry-go-round.  Thats why politicians visit temples and touch swami's feet.

We welcome only those who spread, preach and practice love and peace. We repulse and drive away those who misuse their authority, personality to devide and rule, spread hate and create terror in the society. Advani should know that in democracy, one has the right to accept and reject unwanted, uninvited guests. He cant simply hijack our fundamental rights. This old man is disgrace to humanity and useless to this planet. Rusted and time to discard...

We can't predict who is clean and who is corrupt. But, we know for sure you all play dirty games of communalism and divide society. You bring hatred between Indians. You show us that religion is most important. But, your hidden agenda is power and money.

Political parties are for developments of this country and safeguard the interests of this countrymen. Not for religious extremes. Look at the CM of Karnataka, he keep on distributing huge sum of funds to Mattas & Temples. We have half done roads in Mangalore in the name of developments and now roads are more dangerous then they were earlier. The corruption has to be wiped out completely and it applies to all no matter who is ruling Congress, BJP or JDS or any x y z.

I think the stance of Hazare Supporters is correct. 99% of the politicians have done nothing except cheated the country and looted its resources and Mr.Advani is no saint either. They are worried about their chair now becasue an awakeing of this kind will put their jobs and livelihood in jeopardy. The politicans are the biggest menance of the society worse than the terrorists. They are white collared terrorist and Hazare and their supporters have treated them in the manner they deserve.

Mr. Hazare movement and the followers indeed a threat to politicians. Advanis like politicians who allow corruption and bribery is the real corrupt faces of Indian democarcy. In the name of democracy, politics in India has been hijacked today by corrupt politicians. Anti- politician stance is necessary to root out corrupt politicians. Hazare movement is a necessity in India where politics itself has become corrupt as it is lead by Corrupt Politicians.
