Mangaluru, Aug 18: Suratkal area in the city is considered as sensitive from the past one month after the murder of Fazil was carried out. The police are keeping an eagle eye on all the movements.
As part of the heightened security, police are cracking down on cars that use heavy tinted films on their car windows and windshields.
The recent murder and flex issues that saw some disturbance in Suratkal has caused the police to be more alert. They have formed several check points to control crime. The police are slapping fine on the car owners and drivers and removing the tint films.
Though the tint films were removed from hundreds of vehicles last year, when the police held traffic check driver in the city, many more have surfaced again. Traffic police says that the window and windshields of all vehicles should be transparent in the wake of the illegal activities like looting, dacoity, cattle transportation and other unlawful acts are on the rise in the city.
