Udupi: SUV hits car, barges into hotel on Katpadi service road, two injured

Udupi, Aug 18: The driver of a SUV on NH 66 Katpadi service road lost control of the vehicle and went crashing inside a nearby hotel.

Two persons suffered injuries in the mishap.

The Mahindra XUV car was on its way from Udupi to Bantakal. It hit a parked car and entered the hotel. The hotel employee and another person were injured.

Both the cars were mangled in the impact.

The Royal Hut Hotel has incurred a huge loss in the mishap.

The Kaup police visited the spot and conducted an inquest.

The case was yet to be registered when reports last came in.

    If you name the hotel so attractively, it becomes even more attractive after 7pm. Clearly the SUV was speeding, else it did not have to make a grand entry into the Royal Hut.

    thats so terrible. SUV's should drive within speed limits in highways, people should not treat them as expressway!
